One of six mini solos presented under the "Landscapes" umberella. "Still. Moving" features the artwork of Amanda van Gils alongside exhibitions by five other Queensland based artists (Adrienne Williams, Ainslie McMahon, Jacqui Reed, Jennifer Kenny, Veronika Zeil).

am very pleased to announce the acquisition of three of my paintings for the Gold Coast Hospital's collection.

The three paintings that will now grace the walls of the hospital are: 

'En Route 9am (Bright Morning)' 2011 oil on canvas 91 x122cm,

'En Route 2.35pm (Fraser Island)' 2011 oil on canvas 91x122cm, and

'Refraction', 2009 oil on linen 84x107cm (shown left).

Muswellbrook Art Prize

I am pleased to announce that 'Queensland Roadside' has been selected for inclusion in the $20,000 Muswellbrook Art Prize. The prize is on at the Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre from 28th May to 10th July and will be judged by Bruce Tindale, Manager of Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery.

Moreton Bay Regional Art Awards.

My painting 'Back roads in an unfamiliar town (homesickness #1)' was selected for this year's Moreton Bay Regional Art Awards. The exhibition opened on Friday 20th of May with winner announcements. My painting was awarded the 2D Merit Award by Philip Bacon of Philip Bacon Galleries who was this years judge. The exhibition was held at the Pine Rivers Art Gallery - Strathpine

St. Luke Artists Colourmen have once again embraced the universal symbol of the painter, inviting over 200 artists to create an artwork on the now somewhat kitsch and arguably outdated, wooden palette.

Ranging from well established local and interstate artists to first time exhibitors. With no rules- the results range from the exquisite to the truly bizarre!!
